Moston’s specializes in small runs of custom machine embroidery. Below is a list of the things we do most often and the way we generally work. If you don't see exactly what you're looking for here, give us a call -- we'd love to talk with you about your project and dream up something special together. 

Our specialties

  • Custom apparel – We can source and customize custom apparel of all types. Our most-requested items include hats (ballcaps, trucker hats, beanies), shirts (t-shirts and button downs), jackets and bags (totes, backpacks). Give us a call or send an email to discuss a wide range of options.  

  • Embroidery - We can add custom logos and lettering to almost anything, so long as we can get a needle through it. 

  • Logo / imagery digitizing - We’ll turn your logo or custom illustration into a file that can be sewn onto garments. 

  • Screenprinting - We also offer screenprinting, a great option for t-shirts, hoodies and totes. 

  • Heat transfer - We can apply custom logos and artwork to fabric via heat press.

FAQs

What kinds of things have you made?
Clients and past projects include uniforms for city workers in nearby beach towns, jackets for the local high school cheerleading squad, custom upholstery for local boat owners and hats and jerseys for the senior softball league. We’ve also got clients in New York (beautiful totes for a historical print gallery), Chicago (custom beanies for a friend with a bustling online shop) and LA (hats for a woman-owned film production company). 

What’s a typical order size?
A typical order is between 10 and 100 items, though we’re happy to work with you on special orders outside that range. 

Do you have minimums?
No. You could order as few as one item if you like, though note that prices go down considerably the more you order of a single item. Our machines are designed to make many items at the same time. 

How much does it cost?
There are a lot of variables. The main ones are:

  • The cost of the apparel, eg how much the blank hat costs 

  • Setup fees - We charge a one-time setup fee of $40 to digitize a new logo up to 5” square. 

  • The stitch count of your embroidery. Our prices start at $1.25 per 1,000 stitches. Designs with many colors and complex stitching may cost extra. 

  • The number colors in your screenprint or heat transfer.

  • Rush fees – We charge a $25 rush fee to jump the production line for orders that need to be delivered more quickly than our typical timeframe. 

How long does a typical order take?
Our production schedule changes based on the season. In general, it’s best to allow 2 weeks from the time an order is placed to its completion and shipping. 

How do I place an order?
The simplest way is to email hi@mostonsembroidery.com or call the shop at 727 445 1802. (Or just some in person!). Send a note that includes:

  • What you’d like to embroider (eg hats, jackets, etc)

  • Your artwork

  • Size and placement

  • The number of items

We’re working on an online ordering system to make this a bit simpler; it’s not quite ready. 

Do you ship?
Yes! Anywhere UPS delivers. 

Can I pick up in store?
Of course. We’re there Monday - Friday, 9a-5p.
